Summer Volunteer Day at The Gardens

The Philanthropy Committee is excited to invite you to our next RED volunteer event this July at The Gardens at Lake Merritt.

Join us as we partner with The Gardens at Lake Merritt for a hands-on community volunteer day supporting the upkeep and beautification of one of Oakland’s treasured public garden spaces. Volunteer activities may include weeding, mulching, pathway clearing, and general garden cleanup. This is a high-impact, outdoor volunteer experience, so come ready to roll up your sleeves and make a visible difference alongside fellow RED members.

The Gardens at Lake Merritt is a seven-acre collection of themed gardens located in Oakland’s Lakeside Park, maintained through the support of volunteers and community partnerships. Established more than a half-century ago, the Gardens serve as a source of great regional pride, a cultural and educational center and a place to enjoy tranquility in the heart of the city.
